Will keep it short as this press conference wasn't exciting at all. And not because I'm a Sony fanboy, but because I really hoped they'd do something great with this next console.
They showed a lot of functions I couldn't care less about. Maybe that's the shit in US. but ESPN is really not my thing. I prayed to God they'd quit showing off with how you can interact with ESPN live matches, but they mainly focused on that.
Here's the XboxOne console trailer!
I was aware that they might not show almost no games at all, but they did. And what they did wasn't all that spectacular. Will come back to this in a bit.
As an overall impression they saw this Press Conference as a chance to focus and present all the features of the console so that everybody gets it right so that when their E3 Press Conference comes they wouldn't have to waste time with presenting the console. I bet this year as well they'll waste a lot of time showing off with their Kinect garbage, because they are unable to put that excellent invention to good use for the life of them. They presented the interface and the multitasking capabilities of the console, which are quite great. I mean switching between internet, games and TV in the blink of an eye is a great deal! Only that I don't care for movies nor TV on my console, because I'm getting it for the freaking games, not to replace my TV receiver. BUT this is what they are trying to do. Make this box appeal to absolutely everyone. It's like how, nowadays, you have touchscreen even on the lowliest versions of phones. Something similar is happening with the Xbox brand.
Each Xbox One comes with a new revamped Kinect sensor which features an impressive camera of 1080p MP, which is amazing if you want to video call your friends via Skype, and due to this fact now the little device can see you in a very crisp format and not a very foggy one as in the past, so we could expect more gestures and more decent games for it.
As for the games, they showed a trailer with in-game graphics of some EA Sports games, which for me, instead of realistic, those graphics were quite cartoonish. I really looked forward to see how FIFA next-gen would look like, but I guess I'll have to wait for some real gameplay video to make my mind, because what I saw yesterday wasn't appealing to me nor to anyone else. But apart from graphics they are promising to increase the AI capabilities tenfolds, and that I do believe so I really want to see what they'll be doing with that. Their new engine is called EA Sports Ignite.
They also revealed Forza Motorsport 5. It looked amazing as the trailer had in-game graphics, but I don't know how racing games can get any better than the best racing games we had in this generation and I'm mainly talking about sim racing games, because arcade games, can always evolve (MotorStorm,Blur,NFS).
Take a look to this comparison video and tell me which one you think looks better, because at this point I really can't tell...It'll take me a while to get used with these fantastic dope graphics!
They announced Quantum Break, which is some sort of...umm...have no clue what that really was. I will wait for E3.
But here's a video for it:
Then the announced a series of episodes for the Halo franchise which story is written by Steven Spielberg, so if there're some real Halo fans there in the audience, shout for joy! As acclaimed as the Halo series is, I bet this is a fantastic news, but I was never into it, so I can't relate to you excitement.
And then, in the end, the diva appeared! Call of Duty: Ghosts was presented. As you can see in the videos below, there are some noticeable improvements in terms of graphics and also gameplay as you can now have a shitload of players in one match and the arenas are dynamic (hopefully not scripted; hopefully the consequences are always different). In one of the videos a developer underlined how they did their best to change the gameplay and innovate each year with more and more features. Then I remembered how the whole internet bashes this franchise for not innovating at all. That made me chuckle a bit. But I can't tell, as I wasn't into this franchise either, but to me it looks like the Hannah Montana of gaming, but nevermind me, please.
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for! THE MOMENT, ladies, gentleman and gamers!

The tech differences are quite small, but the features are worlds apart.
For some reasons I feel sad. I really wanted Microsoft to do good this generations, so that once again, I'd own 2 home consoles this generation as well.
But for some reasons I feel extremely happy as I won't have to worry about raising money for a second console as well.
So everything's in balance.
Hopefully on E3 they'll bring on stage no kids, no Usher, no Kinect trash games and keep it real, because at this moment in time, the gaming on their console is becoming rather an optional feature.
The first Xbox was a fucking gaming machine and all the next consoles should stay true to this aspect. I couldn't care less about my freaking living room. Tell you what, Microsoft, me and most probably a vast majority of gamers don't live in super expensive flats that have a huge living room so that would fit nice with your Kinect malicious invention that requires at least 2m distance from it to interact with it!
I play my games in a very small room on a monitor and not in front of a TV...
Now that they cleared all the XboxOne's features and interface gimmicks, hopefully they won't waste any more precious time in June and will show us some real games that'd have me droll all over my knees!
Oh, almost forgot...Why in the world would you name your third console XboxOne? WHY?! It makes no sense.
There was a rumor and a fake leak that'd had the console be named XBOX∞.
Now wasn't that great? Xbox Infinity!
They really had to ruin it...oh well...only time will tell what will happen.
Also, I'll be ending this journal entry with a very amusing fact.
I still have my fever really high and as of today I almost lost my voice, I can barely talk now...
But this morning, when I checked the news on different gaming websites, there was this article stating that after Microsoft's XboxOne reveal, Sony's stocks grew with 9.25%.
With my neck hurting as if someone was caving it from the inside just to get out of there, I laughed out loud. It really made my day.
Dear kids, I'm aware so far I sounded like a fanboy, which I am, but I don't want to bash anyone for it. I wouldn't mind owning Microsoft's console as well, but at this point, it left me really disappointed and had I not been disappointed it'd have meant I couldn't care less about it.
On ING, in the comment section, I found my will in a nutshell and no one could have said it any better than this guy:
"This goes for all consoles...
I don't want to revolutionize my tv.
I don't want a console to check if it's connected to the internet and dying if it's not.
I don't want to surf the web in a small window while watching anything.
I don't want my body monitored.
I want to 'own' my games, not lease them.
I don't want a game console to be a reflection of my facebook personality.
I don't want to dance around in my living room to move a table in game.
I don't want to store my music on my game console.
I don't want anything else with the word 'smart' in front of it.
I don't want my console building a marketing profile of me.
I don't want to pay a fee to get permission to play a used game.
I don't want my console to be 'hip'.
I don't want celebrates to tell me what is cool, and why a console is this.
I don't want every god damn tiny thing to be published or saved on the internet without my consent.
I don't want a console 'trying' to make my life easier.
I want good games with good stories that are fun to play and a system that lets developers do that... with as little restrictions it can, and enough power for them to use. Jesus!!"
Oh I finally brought a Blazblue game for my Xbox I got Continuum Shift Extended (I had Continuum shift 2 on PSP). I've decided I'm going to take my time and learn how to play this fighting game like a pro.
Oh I also got a guilty gear game. Its not like the normal GG but when I looked it up after I bought it said it was apart of the main story, then the new GG (Guilty Gear Xrd [link] is one year later after this game and this game is GG 2: Overture [link]
Not impressed thus far. As an Xbox 360 owner since 2005, I feel MS is drifting away from the focus of games and trying to be too much to too many people. The games had better blow us away, because otherwise there's nothing keeping me from taking a long, hard look at the PS4.
Yeah, they better put up some great software, otherwise it'll die at launch. The only consoles I'm buying games for are the Vita and PS3. The PS3 can be hacked, but I respect Sony way too much to do that. I only got my 360, because it was hackable. Unlike PS their online services are shit so I don't mind at all losing them if I ever get caught. If XOne gets the hacking treatment I might get it, otherwise I couldn't care less. Eitherway, I don't even have the propper space to install it in my room. i hate how M$ thinks we all have huge living rooms. My consoles are placed in my bedroom! Now how about that?
Wasn't really impressed with the Reveal, They didn't bother to show more on those "8 of 15 New Franchises" all they cared to show more about was the COD:Ghosts And the features that the Kinect can now preform. while some of these features are "COOL" I remember when the Xbox was about gaming. me personally I grew up on PS and such but I Own all Consoles because there's different games on Each that I prefer. While i'm not really a FPS person I do like Halo, Kill Zone but I could care less about games like COD or Battlefield. My wife and myself prefer Fighting Games as well as Racing so Forza 5 would probably be the one reason why we'd buy this new console. but The PS4 is a 100% go this year when it's released because of DriveClub and GT6. The whole having to pay a 'fee' to play a game on a different account is one of the many things that's going to kill the sales on this console also having the Kinect 2.0 Plugged in 24/7 and it could also be watching you while you're doing something else? After the Original Xbox it just seems to me that Microsoft's just became more and more about squeezing money out of peoples pockets. also 500GB and we have to Install every single game before we play? Unless they're going to let us Use external Hard Drives like PS3 then it's going to get annoying having to buy A lot of 32GB USB for the Console, also No Backwards Comp c'mon Microsoft and I already know Activision's going to be the ones to accept the DRM.
